The Kindness Kombi hosted an event on Xmas day 2019.
This event was an open invite to all in the community who may need company on xmas day.
The poster for the event:
Local businesses contributed food and items to make this day possible.
We had 5 gazebos set up as relaxing areas for people to socialise.
We had a pie warmer and supplied gluten free and vegan options. We had snacks, drinks, and fruit and vegetables. There were games set up for people to enjoy, music playing, a craft table and a small stage.
We had Drag Queen Story Time, where our volunteer drag queen Imelda Oro read the book 'We are all equal'.
There were fact sheets, folders and information provided by Headspace Port Adelaide for anyone needing extra assistance on what may have been a difficult day.
